That I agree.. but that is not what some doctors are saying on YouTube (like Dr. Eric Berg, while also he is getting censored by YouTube). If you can't think for yourself that is not my problem.
Even Dr. Eric Berg is getting censored. I agree with harmful information. But letting Google decide what you can see and what not in those cases are censoring. And the next steps are now easy to take. Before you know maybe your channels you like on YouTube get censored as well.
Do you really need Google to censor videos that you shouldn't drink bleach. I think if those people can't think for themselves and start drinking bleach then .. well.. maybe there were not that smart after all.
Sure.. but only approving content that is inline with WHO is also dangerous. As if this single initiation has all the answers on all our health issues (answer is no). Is a lot of illness the general medical path doesn't help, because doctors don't yet know how it works. Let alone how to solve some of the issues.
I have severe Tinnitus for example, doctors have no cure of that at all. Not a single hospital I know of can thread Tinnitus.
Too bad you can't provide any link. I don't trust anyone by default. That is whole point. I can think for myself what to believe or what not. I don't need YoutTube to deplatform people. I personally never heard about BRT (or any of other techniques), so I can't judge about this.
If people however got treated with Body Restoration Technique (BRT) with no side-effects but with only benefits for their health, I personally see no problem why people should not opt for this treatment.
As if the current "regular" healthcare knows everything (no). I have Tinnitus and regular healthcare cannot deal with it at all.
It's funny that this post is heavily upvoted.
Since you are implicitly saying you are not a person who does own research or can't think for themselves?
I'm not an anti-vaxxer, I'm just saying what this statement might imply. What is wrong with doing own research? You can read books, read studies, read other people and doctors research papers.
yea well ideally... Good luck with that. You think that YouTube is able to cope with that many different entities and LHA's about whatever the 'truth' might be? Which depends on the original of the video and the author location.
“regular” healthcare is the only legitimate healthcare
Sure, but the current healthcare doesn't has all the answers.. That was my point. In some cases or illnesses the legitimate healthcare can only say "you need to deal with it". Literally.
I can confirm all this, because: 1) I have Tinnitus which they can't thread. 2) I have a congenital heart defect, for which I had surgery as a baby. Without regular healthcare I was not here on earth...
Meaning I personally can say that the legitimate healthcare isn't bad (without it, I was dead), but at the same time it can have it's limitations. So I need to search also outside of the regular healthcare to help with my health issues.
Therefore, I can't trust WHO only or "skilled experts", because those experts sometimes also don't know it. Which is not a bad thing, I don't blame the experts. We are all human after all. But just understand that the current healthcare might not have all the answers that people need. I hope that is also a reasonable request from me.
That might be true, but then again at this moment in time the skilled experts have no answers for me.. That is the point. Maybe over 10 years. Maybe 30 years.. ? who knows.
Because it's NOT Google and Firefox not embracing WebBundles or the “Web Integrity API” standard from Google. Google want to INTRODUCE DRM on the web.
And just recently YouTube (==Google) now also have very strict medical policy, so it can only follow the WHO guidelines. Google is evil, look out. Even Dr. Eric Berg is getting censored. Look out people.

In general there are still maybe different issues with federation. For instance lemmy constantly changes there api after software updates. Causes federation issues.
Federation protocol isn't fully standardized at all! Meaning that all platforms can do whatever they please. Mastodon did lay out the foundation of the standard. But that was mainly about posts and microblogging.
I recently created an account on a new kbin instance. Is there an easy way to migrate my account to that new instance? I feel like this should be easy to find. As such I suspect that such doesn't exist yet, or I'm an idiot. Both are equally possible.
I dunno if you've noticed but federation between kbin and lemmy is shaky at best. By doing even a quick comparison between some original instances and their kbin pages, it is easy to see that comments and sometimes entire threads do not get synced and are practically invisible to the other side....
We are aware of various federation issues and protocol changes. Every lemmy update has caused some federation issue in the past.
Too bad the activitypub protocol has no strict protocol standards. Hence all the federation issues you might observe between various platforms like mastodon, lemmy or others.
I was trying to accomplish the same thing months ago (https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/pulls/235). But I think we can now even migrate to v16. Feel free to create a new PR again.
