Evernote has just been abysmal lately that I took all my notes and left. They’ve been getting so annoyingly greedy that it’s just unusable now.

  • Every time I open the app it spawns a pop-up ad telling me there’s a limited time offer that will disappear if I close the ad, trying to FOMO people into buying it now
  • They slowly restricted usage on devices to just being logged into 2 at the same time. Oh, and you can’t just keep swapping between them because there’s a cooldown (buy premium NOW!11!1!)
  • They completely ruined the minimal aesthetic it had going on and are shoving random features nobody asked for like AI cleanup and AI powered search
  • They constantly bait you into trying features and then telling you it’s premium-only. They ruined the home screen but that’s okay, you can just customize it- Oops! You need premium to save your settings.

Good riddance. No idea how anyone puts up with it anymore.

I’ve never played Tribes so my first impression is that it looks like Unreal Tournament but with lowgrav and lots of sliding around. Might be neat.

No way Nintendo or Sony agree to it considering they have their own services, but I hope “Every Screen Possible” means they’re thinking of Steam Deck/Linux?

I mean, they did put up an official guide on how to use their cloud gaming on the Deck.

Yeah they told everyone to download Edge and stream the games which is hilarious and not practical at all.

The UI has improved a lot since their re-brand, so I doubt that’s it.

Not really, they’re all self-contained. That said you should play Professor Layton and the Curious Village, it’s quite good and has a high quality remaster on mobile phones.

Still remember this moment 10 years later. I never liked that character but it still hit me in the feels.

Binding of Isaac: Repentance, the true ending. It hits harder because it’s the first time we got a definitive ending since the original game came out in 2011.

I’ve seen my fair share of people calling games like Legends of Runeterra dead because of streaming numbers despite being insanely popular. Some games just don’t lend well to streaming, and it’s stupid some people are using it as a metric.

Is there a compatibility list like most emulators? I tried Spelunky and some other game but neither of them worked so I have up on Winlator, but I feel like I should really give it another try.

Your cities skylines town isn’t complete without turning maxing out the disaster slider and causing a giant crater in the middle

Scary if true. It really is time companies start taking AI ethics & security more seriously.

If you have a normal social life it’s honestly expected that a couple of people will leak your phone number (and contact name). Nothing you can really do about it. Happened to me many times.

By the way Steam added regional pricing in many countries today. For the first time ever we finally got acknowledged as a poor market. Games that are $60 are $35 here.

Wow, they’re actually adding a new car in TM2020? Now I’m hyped, maybe some day we can get Canyon.

Nintendo I am BEGGING YOU hire this man NOW

I mean visual novels are more graphic novel than audio book, especially since most of them don’t have voice acting.

But they’re still video games just as much as text-based-adventure games. You control the actions happening in the story and can interact with it, some having gaming elements like minigames or an inventory system. I don’t see why they wouldn’t be called games.

I got One Step from Eden for 60% off, considering oxygen not included for 66% off. Divinity Original Sin 2 is $10 right now and I highly recommend that too. The Arkane Anniversary Bundle is $10 right now and is looking really tempting since I’ve never played Dishonored.

Still on the lookout for other deals, but it’s looking good so far.

Also they discussed approaching Tencent internally, they didn’t actually make plans with them. The title sort of implies they were both in talks.

can I be a Free Software advocate but still use non-free software??

I’m asking this because one time, while browsing the GNU website, I noticed that some of the members’ emails had “gmail” on them!! And I asked myself how would that be possible?? And I think other members of the FSF had Gmail too. Why? Richard Stallman is against Gmail, so why would those memberse use it?? Would that...

Assuming this isn’t a troll post, why wouldn’t it be possible? Not everything has an open source alternative that’s nearly as good. I use Linux, I like open source, but I still use Discord and google services and occasionally a bunch of other closed source apps like Steam. Not everything ever made has to be open source.

Interesting opinion considering most posts are constantly bashing companies on this platform

Re: “This post is an ad”

All trailers are ads. Any article promoting a game is an ad. A movie trailer is an ad. The only difference is whether people are interested in the content or not. It’s not some grand conspiracy that many people (me included) look forward to the Steam sale so they can buy games they want and be on the lookout for sales. This is a gaming community so this is very relevant to be posted here. Don’t be overdramatic.
