It's awesome! I'm running this since years without any problems.

Is there a way to get and pay seedboxes anonymously? Otherwise the feds could “just” get your information from them. Like with every VPN service you got to trust the the service and their confidentiality (not keeping logs etc) I guess?

myofficialaccount ,

That’s the thing, you’d have to connect to the seedbox via VPN anyways.

I’m using usenet anyway, always have, always will ;-)

Take a look at www.reddit.com/r/usenet/wiki/indexers/ for starters

What are we doing differently in Firefox? WebRequest

One of the most controversial changes of Chrome’s MV3 approach is the removal of blocking WebRequest, which provides a level of power and flexibility that is critical to enabling advanced privacy and content blocking features. Unfortunately, that power has also been used to harm users in a variety of ways. Chrome’s solution in MV3 was to define a more narrowly scoped API (declarativeNetRequest) as a replacement. However, this will limit the capabilities of certain types of privacy extensions without adequate replacement.

Mozilla will maintain support for blocking WebRequest in MV3. To maximize compatibility with other browsers, we will also ship support for declarativeNetRequest. We will continue to work with content blockers and other key consumers of this API to identify current and future alternatives where appropriate. Content blocking is one of the most important use cases for extensions, and we are committed to ensuring that Firefox users have access to the best privacy tools available.

Same here, started about the same time. Sadly the crashes aren’t catched and logged…other crashes appear under settings > about Firefox> crashes.

It’s not even site related - after restarting firefox the sites load as expected.

“dosen’t belive”

But lowercase “linux” marked as wrongly spelled is a problem. Priorities.

How a 23-year-old first-time Firefox coder fixed a 22-year-old bug ( arstechnica.com )

Back in June 2002, Ubuntu founder Mark Shuttleworth was experiencing space for the first time, the Department of Justice’s antitrust case against Microsoft was reaching its final arguments, and Adam Price, using what was then called Mozilla on a Mac, had an issue with persistent tooltips....

Interesting! I experience this bug on my windows machine every now and then but wasn’t bothered too much with it. Nice to get some background info on that.

Migrating from Brave to LibreWolf. Any suggestions or precautions?

I’ve recently downloaded Librewolf and I am planning to transfer my data from Brave to it. I am a privacy aware user but I haven’t had much experience in using Firefox directly. I have Firefox installed but I have some other old things stored in it (accounts, cache, bookmarks etc.) that I do not want to disturb, nor do I...

So, a lot of websites filter out known trash mail domains and won’t allow any of their email addresses for sign up. I don’t see that Simplelogin or Addy can circumvent that (beside using a custom domain which however will be linked to your name via the registrar).

How do you manage websites with such restrictions?

myofficialaccount ,

That’s something I’m doing too. I wish there was a nicer way though.

Thanks for the reply!

myofficialaccount ,

Ah, nice, will try that out. I guess the success rate depends on the way the sites filte email addresses.

Thanks for the reply!

Other than at most 2 days I never had any problems with short trims or fully clean shaved. What are y’all doing?

What is the Small Web? ( ar.al )

Updated June 19th, 2023 Sorry, your browser doesn't support embedded videos. But that doesn’t mean you can’t watch it! You can download Small Is Beautiful #23 directly, and watch it with your favourite video player. Small Is Beautiful (Oct, 2022): What is the Small Web and why do we need it? Today, I want to introduce you to...

The whole subject line is "the link", as it is in every other post to external resources. At least I guess that the page I just read after clicking the link wasn't just my imagination.

If you're using a non-feature-complete mobile app your milage my vary - but that's not OP's fault.

wefwef is the best, I really stopped caring about all the other apps being under development. Just mind that using it with Firefox really is absolutely lagging (which is kind of a shame) and that (currently) Chrome gets you the best performance. Feels like a native Android app.
