Beau loved watching The Night of 1000 Cats episode of The Sandman with me (lemmy.world)

Almost the entire episode, she sat on the edge of the coffee table and watched without disruption. Towards the end, she actually went up to the TV and watched up close. I’ve never had a cat purposely watch TV before, and she was enthralled.https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/5dbe2728-372c-43bc-87ca-6b3f440e0a9e.jpeg

Lemmy removes metadata which includes rotation data.

This is ground control to Major mikeel, you've really made the grade.

But for real are you new to kbin? If so, welcome!

Nice. Hope you enjoy your stay. @kbinMeta has some useful info for new users. Sort by top to find the more useful threads.

Yes haha. Constantly. I wouldn't be surprised if they're happy to be rid of the type of user who would move to the fediverse anyway. Maybe that was their plan all along.

    Imgur links suck (kbin.social)

Most Fediverse software supports image uploads, so there's no reason to use Imgur for image hosting. Hell, even on my small single-user server (atomicpoet.org), image hosting is easy peasy. Not only is Imgur not needed, they're an annoyance for those of us who are used to seeing images natively on the Fediverse....

I've taken to just ignoring anything with an imgur link. Hopefully with so many better alternatives imgur will die out soon on the fediverse.

Can I block/hide magazines and communities from the "all" feed (kbin.social)

There's one or two magazines that I'm not interested that take up most of the default feed. I know I can view just the magazines I'm subscribed to in kbin.social/sub. But I also think it could be nice to see what else is active outside of my subscribed magazines.

No way to block an entire instance then? I'm a little tired of blocking, for example, every feddit.de magazine because I don't speak the language.

    Thank you!

Yeah I noticed that happening a bit and I assumed it just needed time to apply the new settings. It's still way better than before.

You have the option to save everything to a text file. Power Delete Suite works very well.

The boosts tab in my profile is filling with things I haven't boosted. I know I've mistakenly tapped on some buttons on mobile, but even unboosting things doesn't remove them. I tested with this thread by boosting and unboosting, and it's now permanently in my boosts tab. Even a comment I accidentally reduced and unreduced is in that tab. I don't understand why. I'm brand new to kbin so maybe I'm doing something wrong or unaware of something.

Oh that's good. Thanks. Hopefully it's fixed soon then.

When I posted that there was a bug that caused stuff to show up in your boosts that shouldn't. Pretty sure it's fixed now.
