I actually, for real, made mushroom stroganoff tonight because all of these memes made me hungry for it.

Here is the basic recipe. I made the following modifications: I soaked 1/2 oz of dried porcini mushrooms in 1/2 c of boiling water for 15 minutes, then used the soaking liquid in the recipe and cut the broth back by 1/2 c. We also ended up adding about 1.5 tsp of paprika when adjusting seasoning at the end. Next time we decided that we would substitute shallot for onion.

I love IPAs. I t seems that the sour and gose fad is still going on, but IPAs are easy to produce and popular, so I don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon.

I was able to get a locally produced rauchbier at the Cincy Beer fest about 12 years ago. Cincinnati has a large ethnically German population, but I was still surprised by that.

If you're into fruitier beers, you should try pairing a wheat beer with goat cheese. My GF and I had a fried goat cheese appetizer with jalapeno jelly and house brewed key lime gose few year ago. It was killer, and we said we needed to go back, but then quarantine, supply chain, yada yada, and here we are sitting at our computers.

My partner was a charge nurse on a psych ward for 16 years. Many of her interactions with police were as follows:

POLICE: buzzes the desk
My Parnter: Yes?
P: This is officer so-and-so with the so-and-so police department. We have a warrant for the arrest of a patient on your ward. Let us in.
MP: Okay, but this is a secure ward and firearms are not allowed. Surrender your weapons at the security office and I'll grant you access to make your arrest when you return.
P: I'M NOT SURRENDERING MY WEAPON!
MP: Well, then can't enter this ward.

I've been using it less because I constantly get challenged with captchas when trying to use it with my VPN. I like DDG's privacy, but I'm not fond of it as a search engine. I heard good things about Brave search. I've been using their browser for about a year, so I may as well give their search engine a try.

It will definitely be a slow death. The sound of a few engaged users uniting in protest isn't what will scare Reddit. The sound that will scare them is the sound of many casual users going "Meh" when minimally-moderated subs plagued with spammers and repost bots finally bore the doom-scrolling zombies looking for a momentary dopamine rush from Tik-Tok videos and easily digestible memes.

I don't know how many are active because I don't monitor it, but once again, I greet all of you here :) In recent days, the traffic on the website has been overwhelming.
