Still waiting for something as basic as group tabs.
The current implementation in Chromium-based browsers is miles ahead of what any add-on can do in Firefox.
They need to get their shit together.

Can you make it look and work like both of these pictures?

If yes: How?
If no: That's my point.

In spanish you are likely to default to k'bin (cabin).
Letter K pronunciation varies across the globe, so I think everyone will have variations of it.

Should we be using hashtags and mentions more? (kbin.social)

Edited below. I imagine many of us are here from reddit, where hashtags weren't really a thing and in many places mentions were actively discouraged (/r/politics I'm looking at you). However, since everything we post or comment on kbin (and lemmy) has the potential of getting federated on a mastodon server, which leans heavily...

When you create a new thread (in Kbin), you can apply tags to it before posting.
Are these tags doing the same thing as hashtags, or are they more like the ones in Reddit?

I currently use Android and I'm happy with it.
I'm not a tinkerer by any means, but I do enjoy a fair bit of third-party apps.
The lack of side-loading in iOS is the deal breaker for me, but should this be added, I would 100% try it out.

Amongog ,
@Amongog@kbin.social avatar

Yea, that would be great.
Though I've also heard they plan to keep it EU-only for compliance.
I hope it doesn't go like that and the feature gets enabled globally.

Kbin is a different software than Lemmy, although similar.
It has only been around a few months (unlike lemmy that has years in development).

It offers what seems to me a more centralized view of the fediverse, with federation to lemmy servers and mastodon servers as well.

It has access to the microblogging feature, that is like sending a toot from mastodon.

I've found it to be a more familiar experience to Reddit, and honestly, I prefer it over lemmy.

Due to it being so new, it has many missing features lemmy might have, like mobile apps (the API is still not public, and it's being worked on).

HOWEVER, Kbin has a great community backing it up.
I'm currently posting this from the amazing Artemis beta app for Kbin, the first of its kind.
This is due to the incredible job @Hariette has done!!

Bidet + half stand

I'm not fat but do have a big ass, it's easier for me to do a half stand and wipe, spreading my ass a bit and making sure everything is indeed clean.

That's a great idea.
Unfortunately don't know CSS, otherwise would totally do it.

That looks awesome.
I haven't been able to make it work on mobile though.

Could it be possible to change it so instead or in addition of clicking the text, we could click the "post" symbol to expand the whole post?

This would work similarly to the "picture" symbol that displays the whole image from image posts.

I think maybe this way it could work with compact mode enable and with mobile users.

See picture attached.

It works perfectly, thank you!!

It looks awesome!
Though it doesn't play well with the mobile PWA, at least on my phone. It makes the page laggy.

Any third-party apps being developed? (kbin.social)

I've heard there's an official kbin app in very early stages. I don't know who's working on that, but it's not in the 2023 roadmap that Ernest has shared in the sidebar - and it rightfully doesn't need to be a main focus at this early stage. I know most people reading this have probably just gotten here as well, but I wouldn't...

My biggest problem with kbin (kbin.social)

The biggest problem with kbin is honestly quite simple, but I don't people is talking about is the fact that finding the magazines that I'm subscribed to is in Settings > Subscribed, on Reddit, it's literally in the top bar, I don't get why it's buried in settings. Another thing is why is my home page full of posts from...

If you already have an active syle, you can edit the code and add this snippet.

However, I made a small style that only has this change and the vote button colors.

So just install this one and you should be good!

Wowww

I should've checked this earlier instead of trying to learn CSS for 2 days to try and make a user script to change the upvote button colors when browsing on mobile.

Thank you!
