The frequency response might be fucked up from a "mod" causing your ears to hurt

Lmao without Larian's dedication I doubt they're gonna get anywhere close to BG3 in the future

They're composed of many big matrices, which scale quadratically in size. A 32x32 matrix is 4x the size of a 16x16 matrix.

No, especially with the "Extra Dim" option on Pixels it's not a problem

for it to get mainstream

It will never get more mainstream than this.

Lineage has been the go-to ROM that beat every other ROM in active users by one or more orders of magnitude since the beginning of Android. Everyone that cares a little bit about custom ROMs knows what Lineage is, and if they don't they will recognize its previous name CyanogenMod.

Average users are never going to care about custom ROMs because it's not worth the effort for them, so why would you care about making LOS more mainstream?

Amir ,
@Amir@lemmy.ml avatar

I never said I didn't want it to get popular, I just think there's no point in trying to spread the word about its existence... because the problem is not in people knowing about its existence. The problem is that most average phone users will not find it worth the effort to switch to LOS, with the risks that come with it (banking apps not working half the time, upgrades sometimes needing a data wipe).

"accuse"

What do you mean accuse? What a loaded title, there's clearly enough evidence that it's not merely an accusation

A theory of mine about this problem is that an AI knows what it should do (because of training data) but not if it was effective; as it doesn't have a metric to test if its output is engaging to humans. When an AI generates dialogue it does so by copying and merging many existing snippets of text, but without a clear set of goals in doing so. When a human writes dialogue, they have a specific atmosphere in mind, a set of goals, foreshadowing, the tone shifting throughout the sentences etc. AIs might accidentally do it right from time to time, but more often than not they mess this part up.

Unity bans VLC from Unity Store. (mfkl.github.io)

Everyone can agree on VLC being the best video player, right? Game developers can agree on it too, since it is a great utility for playing multimedia in games, and/or have a video player included. However, disaster struck; Unity has now banned VLC from the Unity Store, seemingly due to it being under the LGPL license which is a...

You can't ask 300 people to build a chair, and expect the chair to be finished 300x faster than if a single person would build it.

Hamas combatants were not so long ago normal people, pushed out of their homes by foreign settlers and then have their entire families turned to glass for peacefully protesting. This is not a "both sides have valid arguments" matter.

How did they measure this?

Amir ,
@Amir@lemmy.ml avatar

Yeah BG3 is a great game because it’s not afraid to be a CRPG through and through. It’s not trying to be a MMO-lite nor an action game nor a shooter. It’s a 2023 AAA CRPG that’s very well done.

I’m all in on headphones. Been using IEMs for a decade but the annoyances they have always ruin the experience for me. Wireless IEMs are also made to be as non-repairable as possible, so if those WF XM5s break after 2 years you’ll have to buy new ones. Headphones are usually somewhat repairable.
