We will make mistakes. We will forget that we belong to one another, and then we will remember again, make amends, and move forward. This is all part of the process.

I as The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics by James Daniel Brown. This 2014 biopic has recently come to attention because of the Clooney film. The is more accurate. I want to watch a rowing regatta now. This was my first Spotify audiobook. @bookstodon

I love this book I found brand new at the used bookstore. Emily Dickinson is a favorite of mine. I don't draw, but I am going to take this up north and write down my nature observations over the summer. I was so fascinated with the wildlife from bugs to wolves last summer that I thought this sounded like a fun way to keep track of things.

Everyone should go out and read Against Technoableism: Rethinking Who Needs Improvement by Ashley Shew. Thank you @jillrhudy for the recommendation. Loved it.

@bookstodon Help me pick my next book. I am almost finished with Black Tudors. I have Teaching White Supremacy: America's Democratic Ordeal and the Forging of Our National Identity by Donald Yacovone, River Kings: A New History of the Vikings from Scandinavia to the SIlk Roads by Cat Jarman, Against Technoableism: Rethinking Who Needs Improvement by Ashley Shew, and Divine Might: Goddesses in Greek Myth. Which do I choose? I do intend to read all four.

I A Masquerade With a Marquess ( 8/Lords of Temptation). The blurb is a little off - the MMC does marry the FMC knowing she's blind, but also for all the wrong reasons. TW for jealousy and paternal abuse. I may follow up with more from the series, not sure yet. @romancebooks

'We think we are studying the world - but in reality we are merely making evident the limits of our own thinking, which are embodied in our logbook and measuring instruments. The truth is always stranger, more lively and more expansive than we can compute.'

I decided that I needed to read something not quite as dry as a history book so I started Beneath the Citadel by Destiny Soria last night. It's a YA fantasy and I am about 50 pages in so far.

Still reading Black Tudors: The Untold Story by Miranda Kaufmann as well which is very good so far, albeit a bit dry.

My orders from the library came in yesterday and this morning I am starting Black Tudors: The Untold Story by Miranda Kaufman. I will reserve any judgment as I am literally only a few pages in, but I have high hopes as it was shortlisted for the Wolfson History Prize.

I re- as Four In Hand by Stephanie Laurens. This has very little sex in it & a lot of flirting. It follows 4 sisters in one shorter - it was one of her earliest . I like this type of writing but I know it's out of date. @romancebooks

Finally getting back to writing Book 5 of The Silk Rope Masters. It's slowly coming together - all those green lines mean I'm happy with the chapter for the time being.
I had hoped it would have been completed by now but Cancer stuffed up my progress. I'm still trying to get used to the many side effects from radiation and drug therapy.

"Most of the papers in this volume originated as presentations at the conference Biblical Hebrew and Rabbinic Hebrew: New Perspectives in Philology and Linguistics, which was held at the University of Cambridge, 8–10th July, 2019. The aim of the conference was to build bridges between various strands of research in the field of Hebrew language studies that rarely meet, namely philologists working on Biblical Hebrew, philologists working on Rabbinic Hebrew and theoretical linguists."
